Name a Rescued Chicken

Be part of the Goodheart story and name one of our rescued hens.

We've just welcomed a group of 10 hens who were rescued from the commercial egg-laying industry by the British Hen Welfare Trust. They had spent most of their early lives in a dark, crowded barn alongside hundreds of other hens, with no opportunities to explore, forage, dust bathe, or do any of the things hens naturally love to do.

They now have a home for life at our sanctuary, where they can enjoy a safe and happy retirement, with a large grassy area to explore during the day and a cosy, straw-filled aviary to snuggle up in at night.

To settle them officially into our sanctuary family, they need names! Can you help us welcome our new friends to Goodheart by choosing their names?

How it works:

1. Your £12 will be treated as a donation, and will go towards the care of our new hens and their friends here at the sanctuary.
2. After donating, email info@goodheart.org.uk quoting your order number and name of choice.
3. To say thank you, we'll send you an official naming certificate via email - perfect if you're giving as a gift!
   

Naming a hen is the perfect way to commemorate someone, honour a special birthday or anniversary, or even just to make an animal lover’s day.

Terms & conditions

• Please allow 24 hours for the certificate to arrive. If ordering at the weekend, we will email your certificate to you the next working day.
• Certificates are sent via email only. We are unable to print out and post them.
• Please check your email address carefully when entering it at the checkout, to ensure your certificate arrives promptly.

Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries will treat this donation as unrestricted. This means that it may be used to help other animals in our care or contribute to the general running of our sanctuary, wherever the need is greatest.
