Earlier this year, we were contacted by a local veg box company that kept hens and sold their eggs as part of the veg boxes. After some thought, they felt that this did not align with their ethos and instead wanted to focus on the veg growing instead. They were determined to find loving homes for the hens, and we were glad to take in 10 to join our rescued flocks.
At Goodheart, they can enjoy a peaceful comfortable retirement, and will spend the rest of their lives enjoying sanctuary life with their new friends.
To settle them officially into our sanctuary family, they need names! Can you help us welcome our new friends to Goodheart by choosing her name?
How it works:
Your £12 will be treated as a donation, and will go towards the care of our new hens and their friends here at the sanctuary.
After purchasing, email info@goodheart.org.uk quoting your order number and name of choice.
To say thank you, we'll send you an official naming certificate via email - perfect if you're giving as a gift!
Naming a hen is the perfect way to commemorate someone, honour a special birthday or anniversary, or even just to make an animal lover’s day.

Please allow 24 hours for the certificate to arrive. If ordering at the weekend, we will email your certificate to you the next working day.
Certificates are sent via email only. We are unable to print out and post them.

Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries will treat this donation as unrestricted. This means that it may be used to help other animals in our care or contribute to the general running of our sanctuary, wherever the need is greatest.
