About Peter Brook
Peter Brook was born in the winter of 1927 surrounded by the Pennines which would become such an influence in his life. After a career in teaching Peter Brook became a full time artist aged 40, contracted to Agnews of London and saw his work exhibited around the world. Many celebrities collected his work including James Mason & Sir Tom Courtenay. He began featuring himself and his dog in his paintings in the 1980's and this became a trademark for his later work. In 2009 & 2011 Peter Brook's work featured in the Tate Gallery desk diary and nowadays Peter Brook's original work is fetching high prices at auction houses and dealers around the UK.
